Bring Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans to the tabletop with the Bandai Gundam Card Game Starter Deck Iron Bloom [ST05], a ready-to-play Purple deck featuring Gundam Barbatos and the forces of Tekkadan.
The Gundam Card Game Iron Bloom [ST05] Starter Deck introduces Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans to the Gundam Card Game and was the first Starter Deck to introduce the Purple colour.
With a complete 50-card pre-constructed deck, Resource Cards, Token Cards, damage counter, Rule/Playsheet and a Bonus Pack included, Iron Bloom gives you everything needed to get the deck onto the table straight from the box.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Joins the Gundam Card Game
For fans of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, ST05 is a particularly important Gundam Card Game release.
Iron Bloom marked the arrival of Iron-Blooded Orphans in the game, bringing its Mobile Suits and characters into the TCG while simultaneously introducing Purple cards as a new colour.
At the centre of the deck is one of the most recognisable Gundams of the modern era:
Gundam Barbatos.
Featuring Gundam Barbatos
The official Iron Bloom card list includes multiple cards based around Gundam Barbatos, including the Gundam Barbatos 4th Form and Gundam Barbatos 2nd Form.
The Legend Rare ST05-001 Gundam Barbatos 4th Form is a Purple Unit from Iron-Blooded Orphans, carrying the Tekkadan and Gundam Frame traits and linking with Mikazuki Augus.
That makes Iron Bloom an obvious starting point for players and collectors who want Iron-Blooded Orphans represented in their Gundam Card Game collection.
Introducing Purple
Iron Bloom [ST05] introduced Purple to the Gundam Card Game Starter Deck line-up. Bandai’s official description specifically highlights the arrival of the new colour alongside Iron-Blooded Orphans.
For existing players, that makes ST05 more than simply another pre-constructed deck.
It represents the introduction of another colour to the game and provides a ready-made foundation for exploring Purple cards and expanding the deck with compatible cards from other Gundam Card Game products.
Ready-to-Play 50-Card Deck
There’s no need to construct your first deck before you can start using Iron Bloom.
Inside the box is a ready-to-play 50-card deck, allowing new players to begin learning the Gundam Card Game while giving existing players an immediate Iron-Blooded Orphans-themed deck to add to their collection.
The Starter Deck contains cards from 16 different rarities/design entries: 2 Legend Rare and 14 Common types, with duplicate cards included as part of the deck construction.
Resource Cards Included
The set contains 10 Resource Cards, so you don’t need to source the basic Resource Cards separately before playing the deck.
They’re included alongside the main 50-card deck and the additional components required to start playing.
For someone picking up the Gundam Card Game for the first time, that’s exactly what you want from a Starter Deck:
Open it.
Learn it.
Start playing.
Bonus Pack Included
Each Iron Bloom [ST05] Starter Deck also contains 1 Bonus Pack.
This gives collectors and players an additional reason to pick up the deck beyond the standard pre-constructed card list.
Combined with the Iron-Blooded Orphans theme and the introduction of Purple, it makes ST05 an appealing product both for players and Gundam TCG collectors.
Everything You Need to Get Started
Bandai designed Iron Bloom as a complete Starter Deck rather than simply a bundle of cards.
Alongside the main deck and Resource Cards, you receive 2 Token Cards, a Paper Damage Counter and a Rule/Playsheet.
That makes the Gundam Card Game Iron Bloom Starter Deck particularly suitable for anyone who has been interested in trying the game but hasn’t yet built their own deck.
And if you bought it purely because Barbatos is on the box?
We understand.
Expand & Customise Your Deck
While Iron Bloom provides a complete deck straight from the box, it can also act as the foundation for a larger Gundam Card Game collection.
Once you’ve become familiar with the included cards, you can explore additional compatible Purple cards and Iron-Blooded Orphans cards from other Gundam Card Game releases.
This makes ST05 useful both as an introduction to the game and as a starting point for players interested in developing their own deck ideas.
