tep back into the golden age of Gunpla with the legendary PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam MG 1/100. Inspired by the classic Plamo-Kyoshiro manga and later incorporated into the Mobile Suit Variations (MSV) universe, this iconic Master Grade kit brings one of Gundam history’s most famous custom mobile suits to life. Featuring removable heavy armour, a newly moulded RX-78-style inner Gundam and a powerful weapon loadout, the Perfect Gundam remains one of the most distinctive MG releases ever produced.
Combining nostalgic appeal with classic Master Grade engineering, the PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam is a must-have for Universal Century collectors, long-time Gunpla fans and anyone looking to own one of the hobby’s most influential designs.
The Original Custom Gundam
The Perfect Gundam first appeared in the legendary Plamo-Kyoshiro manga, where it was built and piloted by Shiro Kyoda. Rather than being an official Earth Federation production unit, it was conceived as the ultimate customised RX-78-2 Gundam, equipped with the Full-Armor System and Weapon System (FSWS) to dramatically increase its durability and firepower. Its popularity later earned it a place within the Mobile Suit Variations (MSV) design series.
Its heavily armoured silhouette, oversized shoulder cannon and reinforced limbs have made it one of the most recognisable custom Gundams ever created.
Classic Master Grade Engineering
Bandai Spirits designed this Master Grade kit to faithfully recreate both the heavily armoured exterior and the mobile suit beneath.
Features include:
- Fully detailed inner Gundam
- Removable heavy armour system
- Excellent colour separation
- Flexible soft-material power pipes
- Wide range of articulation
- Snap-fit construction
The inner RX-78-style Gundam features updated proportions closer to the original television anime, while the external armour can be removed to showcase the mechanical detail beneath.

The Perfect Gundam is equipped with an impressive selection of heavy weaponry.
Included accessories include:
- Twin-barrel Hand Beam Gun
