If you’re an experienced builder, you should definitely go for this as it’s a perfect test bed for various modifications and fixes. By default, the Unicorn Gundam (screen image) suffers from being the first victim of the mold decay that the Master Grade Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka mold went through due to frequent reuse and reselling. So unless you like your transformations overly tight, your panels jumping off, and your shield pulling off a bit of the forearm panel whenever you remove it, I’d recommend newbies to instead go for the more expensive, but more rewarding Master Grade EX Unicorn Gundam.
However, if you’ve had a bit of experience with building Gunpla, there are a million things you can do to fix this Master Grade: Remedying the popping panels by gluing them into place with some super glue, thickening the plug that helps expose the lower torso’s psycoframe with some plastic cement, making the upper chest transformation more loose by chiselling off some plastic from the pegs with a hobby knife, and also using super glue to fix the forearms are just some of the fixes you can provide to this kit and make it a true beast of possibility. So for newbies, I wouldn’t recommend it, but for experienced builders looking to try some modifying ideas, I’d say go for it.
