Quatre Raberba Winner’s upgraded Gundam Sandrock returns in a brand-new HG 1/144 kit based on its appearance in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.
The XXXG-01SR2 Gundam Sandrock Custom EW brings the heavily armed close-combat Gundam to Bandai’s modern High Grade range, complete with its enormous Heat Shotels and distinctive heat-resistant cloak. This new HG was released on 6 June 2026.
Gundam Sandrock Custom EW
Piloted by Quatre Raberba Winner, Sandrock Custom EW takes the familiar Sandrock design and gives it the unmistakable styling seen in Endless Waltz.
Its subdued colour scheme, huge curved Heat Shotels and imposing cloak give it a dramatically different appearance from the original television version.
Twin Heat Shotels
No Sandrock would be complete without its signature weapons.
The twin Heat Shotels dominate the design, giving Sandrock its distinctive close-combat appearance and providing plenty of opportunities for aggressive two-handed and dual-wielding poses.

Heat-Resistant Cloak
One of the defining features of the Endless Waltz Sandrock is its heat-resistant cloak, used during atmospheric entry.
The cloak completely changes the appearance of the Mobile Suit, creating one of the most memorable silhouettes among the five Gundams from Endless Waltz. Bandai has previously highlighted this cloak as a defining feature of the Sandrock Custom EW design.
Modern HG Treatment
This is a new-generation HG release, rather than the much older 1/144 Sandrock Custom kit originally released in 1998. Bandai’s original version dates back to May 1998, while this modern HG edition arrived in June 2026.
