Bring one of the formidable Fafners from Fafner in the Azure THE BEYOND to your collection with the MODEROID Fafner Mark Vier Kai Abaddon from Good Smile Company.
The Mark Vier Kai Abaddon combines the distinctive mechanical styling of the Fafner series with the hands-on building experience of the MODEROID range. Its unusual proportions, huge arm-mounted equipment and imposing dark colour scheme give the completed model serious presence, while colour-separated parts and pre-painted components help recreate its appearance straight from the box.
Fafner Mark Vier Kai Abaddon
The Fafner Mark Vier Kai Abaddon appears in Fafner in the Azure THE BEYOND as an upgraded Fafner developed for the continuing conflict with the Festum.
Like the other machines in the series, Abaddon isn’t designed around the conventional heroic proportions associated with many super robots.
Instead, Fafners have an almost organic appearance.
Long limbs, unusual armour shapes and their distinctive head designs create machines that look simultaneously mechanical and strangely alive.
The Mark Vier Kai takes that visual language and turns it into one particularly intimidating machine.
MODEROID Model Kit
Good Smile Company’s MODEROID range brings robots and mecha from an enormous variety of anime, games and other franchises into plastic model-kit form.
The Mark Vier Kai Abaddon arrives as an unassembled model kit, giving you the enjoyment of constructing the machine yourself rather than simply removing a completed figure from the box.
Parts are moulded in multiple colours, with selected details recreated using pre-painted components and stickers.
That means you can achieve an impressive representation of Abaddon without needing to completely paint the model.
Distinctive Fafner Proportions
One of the biggest attractions of the kit is simply how different it looks from conventional mecha.
The Mark Vier Kai Abaddon features:
- Long, slender limbs
- Narrow torso
- Large shoulder structures
- Distinctive Fafner head
- Extensive mechanical equipment
- Unusual armour geometry
Put it next to a Gundam or more traditional super robot and the difference is immediately obvious.
The almost biomechanical silhouette is one of the defining elements of Fafner in the Azure.
Highly Articulated Construction
The MODEROID kit uses articulated joints throughout the body, allowing the completed Abaddon to achieve a wide range of poses.
The long limbs give the machine a particularly dramatic appearance in action stances.
Recreate:
- Combat poses
- Weapon-ready stances
- Wide-legged action poses
- Aerial displays
- Series-inspired battle scenes
- Displays alongside other Fafners
A compatible display stand can be especially useful for getting the most from the model’s unusual proportions.
Large Weapon Equipment
The Mark Vier Kai Abaddon is equipped with the heavy weaponry expected of a machine operating against the Festum.
The MODEROID release recreates its distinctive combat equipment, allowing you to change the character of the model depending on how it’s posed.
Large weapons combined with Abaddon’s slender body create an excellent visual contrast and give the completed kit a far more aggressive appearance.
Luger Lance Equipment
The Luger Lance is one of the signature weapons associated with the Fafner series.
Its unusual shape immediately identifies the model as part of the Fafner in the Azure universe and provides some fantastic close-combat posing possibilities.
The long weapon complements Abaddon’s equally long limbs, producing a striking silhouette when displayed in an attacking pose.
Gun & Blade Combat
The weapon systems of the Fafner machines often blur the distinction between conventional firearms and close-combat equipment.
This gives Abaddon plenty of flexibility when creating battle displays.
Pose the machine preparing a ranged attack, switch to an aggressive melee stance or combine the model with other Fafners to recreate the chaotic battles against the Festum.
Colour-Separated Plastic
Good Smile Company uses colour-separated runners to reproduce the major colours of the Mark Vier Kai Abaddon.
This reduces the amount of painting required for builders who simply want an accurate straight build.
Selected details may use:
- Pre-painted components
- Stickers
- Separately moulded coloured parts
Painting remains optional, but experienced builders can take the model considerably further with additional finishing work.
Snap-Fit Construction
Like other MODEROID releases, Abaddon uses modern plastic model-kit construction.
Standard assembly is designed around parts fitting together without requiring extensive gluing.
For most builders, the essential tools are simply:
- Model nippers
- Hobby knife
- Sanding sticks or glass file
From there, you can decide how far you want to take the build.
Straight build it.
Panel line it.
Paint every component.
The choice is yours.
Excellent Customisation Potential
The dark and mechanical appearance of the Mark Vier Kai makes it particularly suitable for additional detailing.
Try adding:
- Metallic internal components
- Armour shading
- Panel lining
- Custom decals
- Weapon weathering
- Gloss mechanical details
- Matte armour finish
- Festum battle damage
- Sensor detailing
Subtle variations in the dark armour can make a significant difference to the finished model without requiring a completely different colour scheme.
Build Your Fafner Team
Abaddon becomes even more impressive when displayed alongside other machines from the MODEROID Fafner in the Azure lineup.
Build a collection featuring machines such as:
- Fafner Mark Sein
- Fafner Mark Nicht
- Fafner Mark Alles
- Fafner Mark Drei
- Fafner Mark Fünf
- Fafner Mark Acht
- Other upgraded Fafner units
The shared design language makes the machines look fantastic together while their different equipment and colour schemes give each model its own personality.
A Great Choice for Mecha Builders Looking for Something Different
If your collection is already full of Gundams, Zaku variants and conventional humanoid robots, Fafner Mark Vier Kai Abaddon offers something refreshingly different.
The unusual body proportions and darker mechanical design give it an almost alien appearance.
That’s particularly appropriate considering the world of Fafner in the Azure, where the line separating human technology and the Festum becomes increasingly complicated.
