Add one of the most imposing Evangelions from the Rebuild of Evangelion films to your desk with the BRICKROID Evangelion Production Model-13 from Good Smile Company.

The mighty Evangelion Unit-13 has been compressed into the wonderfully chunky BRICKROID format, turning an enormous and sinister Evangelion into a tiny approximately 50mm-tall pre-painted collectible. With movable limbs, weapon equipment and a block-style display base, it’s a very different way to add EVA-13 to your Evangelion collection.

Evangelion Unit-13

Evangelion Unit-13 is one of the most distinctive Evangelion designs introduced during the Rebuild films.

First appearing in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, Unit-13 is created by NERV and piloted through a dual-entry system involving Shinji Ikari and Kaworu Nagisa.

At first glance it shares obvious visual similarities with Evangelion Unit-01.

Then you notice the additional arms.

And the additional eyes.

And everything starts looking considerably less reassuring.

Unit-13 becomes central to some of the most important events in the later Rebuild storyline and returns in Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.

Welcome to BRICKROID

The BRICKROID range takes famous robots and mecha and completely reinterprets their proportions.

Forget towering machines covered in thousands of mechanical details.

BRICKROID makes them:

Tiny. Chunky. Articulated. Collectible.

The consistent proportions mean completely different robots can be displayed together as part of the same collection.

Unit-13 is particularly entertaining in this format because its normally intimidating appearance has been compressed into something that can comfortably sit in the palm of your hand.

Approximately 50mm Tall

Unit-13 stands only around 50mm tall.

That’s roughly five centimetres.

Considering the actual Evangelion is supposed to be an enormous biomechanical weapon capable of triggering catastrophic events, this version is considerably easier to accommodate.

The tiny dimensions make BRICKROID particularly suitable for:

  • Desktop displays
  • Smaller collections
  • Display cases
  • Workspaces
  • Multi-character collections
  • Custom block-built scenes

You can finally collect Evangelions without sacrificing an entire shelf to every single one.

Classic Unit-13 Colour Scheme

Even with the heavily exaggerated proportions, the figure remains immediately recognisable as EVA-13.

The dark purple armour is combined with its distinctive contrasting details, maintaining the sinister visual connection with Unit-01 while still giving Unit-13 its own identity.

Its unusual head and body design translate particularly well into BRICKROID proportions.

It looks cute.

It also looks like it might accidentally start an Impact.

That’s Evangelion.

Four-Armed Evangelion

One of Unit-13’s defining features is its ability to deploy four arms.

This dramatically changes its silhouette compared with conventional Evangelion units and gives Unit-13 its unmistakable appearance during some of the Rebuild films’ biggest scenes.

The BRICKROID version captures the character of this unusual design while adapting everything to the range’s compact proportions.

The additional limbs make Unit-13 look especially substantial alongside the other Evangelion BRICKROID releases.

Weapon Equipment

Unit-13 comes with weapon accessories designed to be held by the figure.

The oversized BRICKROID proportions make the weapons look deliberately exaggerated, adding even more character to the miniature EVA.

Combine them with the movable limbs to create simple combat poses rather than being restricted to a single fixed display.

Articulated Construction

Despite its tiny size, BRICKROID isn’t simply a static mini figure.

The neck, arms and legs feature articulation, allowing you to change Unit-13’s stance and experiment with different displays.

The articulation is deliberately straightforward rather than attempting to replicate the complexity of a full-scale action figure.

That’s part of the appeal.

Pick it up.

Change the pose.

Put it back.

No need to spend twenty minutes carefully balancing an enormous Evangelion on a complicated display stand.

Pre-Painted and Ready to Display

This is a completed pre-painted collectible, not a plastic model kit.

That means:

  • No runners
  • No nippers
  • No glue
  • No painting
  • No decals
  • No panel lining
  • No assembly marathon

Take Unit-13 out, attach the accessories you want and put it on display.

For anyone whose Gunpla or model-kit backlog has reached the point where it technically qualifies as furniture, that’s probably quite refreshing.

Block-Style Display Base

A dedicated convex block-style display base is included.

Connection holes underneath the feet allow Unit-13 to attach securely to the supplied base.

This gives the small figure a stable platform while maintaining the block-inspired visual language of the BRICKROID range.

Compatible with Generic Building Blocks

The connection system also opens up another interesting possibility.

The holes underneath the feet are designed around 5mm-diameter studs, allowing BRICKROID figures to interact with suitable generic building-block systems.

That means you’re not restricted to the included base.

You can build your own:

  • NERV hangar
  • Evangelion launch platform
  • Tokyo-3 environment
  • Battle scene
  • Multi-level robot display
  • Custom BRICKROID shelf

For creative collectors, that could become half the fun of the range.

One of the Original BRICKROID Evangelions

Unit-13 formed part of the first wave of BRICKROID releases, alongside:

  • Evangelion Unit-01
  • Evangelion Production Model-New 02 Alpha
  • Evangelion Production Model-13

The three Evangelion machines helped launch Good Smile Company’s new BRICKROID format in 2026.

That makes Unit-13 particularly appealing if you’re planning to collect the range from the beginning.

Complete the Evangelion BRICKROID Trio

Naturally, one BRICKROID is unlikely to remain one BRICKROID for very long.

Unit-13 looks particularly good alongside Unit-01 and New Unit-02α.

All three have dramatically different designs but share the same tiny block-like proportions.

Put them together and you get a miniature Evangelion lineup that takes up considerably less space than three conventional EVA figures.

Unit-01 brings the classic look.

New Unit-02α brings the mechanical chaos.

Unit-13 brings the apocalypse.

Excellent balance.

EVA-01 vs EVA-13

Unit-13 also provides an obvious opportunity for a miniature recreation of the confrontation between Evangelion Unit-01 and Evangelion Unit-13.

The two machines share enough visual similarities to look almost like dark reflections of one another.

Displayed opposite each other in the matching BRICKROID style, the relationship becomes even more obvious.

Build a small block environment around them and you’ve got the foundations of a brilliant miniature Rebuild of Evangelion scene.

Designed by -moino-

The BRICKROID Evangelion designs were handled by -moino-, adapting the complex original machines into the consistent block-like proportions of the range.

That’s not as simple as merely shrinking the original robot.

Key identifying features need to be exaggerated while less important details are simplified.

The result needs to look like Unit-13 immediately, even when the entire thing is only around five centimetres tall.

Why Add BRICKROID Evangelion Production Model-13 to Your Collection?

Because it’s Evangelion Unit-13 reduced to approximately five centimetres of potential apocalypse.

The BRICKROID format is deliberately simple and fun. You get a pre-painted robot straight out of the box, enough articulation to change the pose, weapon equipment and a block-compatible base that gives you plenty of potential for creating your own miniature displays.

Unit-13 is also one of the best Evangelion designs for this treatment. The dark colour scheme, unusual proportions and distinctive multi-armed appearance give the tiny figure plenty of personality despite its size.

Put it alongside BRICKROID Unit-01 and New Unit-02α and you’ve got the complete original Evangelion BRICKROID trio without sacrificing an entire display cabinet.

For Evangelion collectors, BRICKROID fans or anyone who wants Unit-13 on their desk without the usual enormous EVA footprint, this is a fantastic little collectible.

Four arms. Four eyes. Approximately 50mm tall. BRICKROID Evangelion Production Model-13 proves that potentially world-ending Evangelions can, in fact, be absolutely tiny.
