Good Smile Company’s “MODEROID” model kit of the Type 98 Special Command Vehicle and Type 99 Special Labor Carrier from the anime series “Mobile Police Patlabor” is back in action! Made under the supervision of designer Shoji Kawamori, the design of each vehicle has been updated for a more modern appearance and more detail has been added. Each wheel is connected with a metal shaft and can be rotated; the tires are made of rubber for realism. The siren light and windows are transparent/translucent parts, too. The front of the towing vehicle is steerable; the floodlight on top can be displayed stored or deployed, and the driver’s seat has been faithfully reproduced. The rear multipurpose hangar can carry various MODEROID models of Police Labors from the series; the arms for holding the Labor in place are articulated, and the crane can be rotated. The rear step and outriggers are extendable, too. The hangar can also be jacked up to 90 degrees vertically, to recreate Patlabor deck-up scenes! A command vehicle is also included.
