Char’s Amphibious Mobile Suit

The Z’Gok is one of the most recognisable amphibious Mobile Suits of the One Year War, but put Char Aznable in the cockpit and paint it red and suddenly things become considerably more dangerous.

The MG captures the Z’Gok’s unusual rounded armour, long segmented limbs, claw-equipped arms and distinctive mono-eye head design.

Movable Mono-Eye

Behind the head armour sits the Z’Gok’s characteristic mono-eye, reproduced using a clear component and designed so the eye itself can be repositioned. The missile details across the top of the head are also recreated as part of the model’s detailed exterior.

Extendable Limbs

Bandai incorporated extension mechanisms into the arms and thighs, increasing the range of movement and allowing the finished model to achieve more expressive poses despite the Z’Gok’s unusual proportions.

This makes it particularly well suited to recreating the aggressive close-combat appearance associated with Char’s Z’Gok.

Amphibious-Inspired Engineering

One of the more unusual details of this Master Grade is the use of rubber-like components around areas including the abdomen, hip joints and ankles, designed to evoke the waterproof construction of an amphibious Mobile Suit.

It’s exactly the sort of mechanical detail that makes older Master Grades interesting builds even years after their original release.

Four-Claw Option

Bandai also includes the rarely seen four-claw parts, giving builders an alternative to the familiar Z’Gok claw arrangement.

It’s a small addition, but a great option for anyone who wants something slightly different from the standard appearance.
