RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn (Destroy Mode) HGUC 1/144 #175
Unleash the black lion of the Unicorn series with the HGUC #175 Banshee Norn in its spectacular Destroy Mode.
From Mobile Suit Gundam UC comes the RX-0[N] Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn, recreated in 1/144 scale with its dark armour, exposed golden Psycho-Frame and distinctive Norn equipment.
Released in March 2014, this HGUC kit captures the Banshee Norn in its fully activated Destroy Mode configuration.
Banshee Norn – Destroy Mode
The Banshee Norn takes the already imposing appearance of the second Unicorn Gundam and adds its upgraded equipment, creating one of the most distinctive Mobile Suits in Gundam UC.
In Destroy Mode, the dark exterior armour opens to reveal the contrasting Psycho-Frame beneath, while the expanded Gundam-style head gives the Banshee Norn an unmistakably aggressive appearance.
Unlike transforming versions of the Banshee Norn, this HGUC is dedicated to the Destroy Mode configuration, allowing the kit to concentrate on reproducing its activated proportions and appearance.
Armed Armor XC
Mounted around the backpack is the distinctive Armed Armor XC, immediately separating the Norn from the original Banshee.
Its large wing-like silhouette gives the Mobile Suit considerably more presence from both the front and rear and makes the Banshee Norn particularly impressive when displayed in an airborne pose.
Armed Armor DE
The Banshee Norn also carries the substantial Armed Armor DE, mounted to its shield.
The equipment was one of the major additions that distinguished the upgraded Norn configuration from the earlier Banshee.
Beam Magnum & Revolving Launcher
Another defining piece of Banshee Norn equipment is the Beam Magnum fitted with its Revolving Launcher.
Bandai specifically engineered the HGUC version so the launcher can reproduce its Beam Jutte deployment configuration, adding another option when setting up the finished model for combat.
A Striking HGUC Display Piece
Dark navy armour combined with the bright Psycho-Frame makes the Banshee Norn stand apart from almost anything else in a Universal Century collection.
Display it alongside the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam for the obvious pairing, or build out a larger Mobile Suit Gundam UC collection with machines such as the Sinanju, Kshatriya and Full Armor Unicorn Gundam.
