Relive one of the defining moments of the Universal Century with the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (AEUG) HG 1/144, Bandai Spirits’ modern High Grade recreation of the legendary mobile suit from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Featuring the distinctive white, blue and red AEUG colour scheme, this updated HGUC Revive kit combines outstanding articulation, refined proportions and exceptional engineering to deliver one of the finest High Grade Gunpla kits available.

Piloted by Kamille Bidan after its capture from the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II became a symbol of the AEUG’s fight against oppression and remains one of the most influential mobile suits in Gundam history.

The Mobile Suit That Changed Gundam Design

The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II was originally developed by the Titans as a next-generation prototype, introducing the revolutionary Movable Frame system that would influence countless mobile suits for years to come. After being stolen by the AEUG, it was repainted in its iconic white colour scheme and became the primary mobile suit of Kamille Bidan throughout much of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Its balanced design, practical weapon loadout and timeless appearance have made the Gundam Mk-II a favourite among Gunpla builders for decades.

Modern HGUC Revive Engineering

Bandai completely redesigned the Gundam Mk-II for the HGUC Revive line, giving it updated proportions and significantly improved articulation while remaining faithful to its anime appearance.

The kit features:

Refined anime-accurate proportions
Double-jointed elbows and knees
Improved shoulder articulation
Flexible waist movement
Excellent stability for action poses

These upgrades allow the Gundam Mk-II to achieve dynamic combat stances while maintaining the clean, realistic look that defines the mobile suit.

Complete AEUG Weapons Loadout

The HG Gundam Mk-II includes a full selection of weapons seen throughout Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Included are:

Beam Rifle
Hyper Bazooka
Shield
Two Beam Sabers
Vulcan Pod System

The Hyper Bazooka can be mounted on the rear skirt armour when not in use, while the Shield can be attached securely to either forearm using interchangeable connectors. The removable Vulcan Pod System accurately recreates the optional head-mounted equipment used by the AEUG version of the Gundam Mk-II.

Excellent Articulation

The redesigned HGUC frame gives the Gundam Mk-II an impressive range of movement, making it ideal for recreating memorable scenes from the anime.

Builders can easily pose the model in:

Beam Rifle firing stances
Hyper Bazooka attack poses
Beam Saber duels
Defensive shield positions
Dynamic aerial combat displays

The sturdy joints ensure the model remains stable, even when equipped with its larger weapons.

Outstanding Detail Straight Out of the Box

Bandai’s colour-separated moulding captures the Gundam Mk-II’s iconic AEUG colours with remarkable accuracy.

The crisp panel lines and layered armour make this an ideal kit for builders who enjoy adding extra detail through:

Panel lining
Water-slide decals
Metallic detailing
Matte or gloss top coats
Subtle weathering
Universal Century-inspired display bases

Even with minimal finishing, the completed model looks fantastic and faithfully recreates one of the most beloved Gundams in the franchise.
