Step onto the battlefield with the sleek and deadly HG Gundam Vidar 1/144 from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Season 2. Piloted by the mysterious Vidar, later revealed to be Gaelio Bauduin, this striking Gundam Frame combines incredible mobility, precision weaponry and an elegant blue-and-white colour scheme to create one of the most popular mobile suits in the Iron-Blooded Orphans series.

Designed as part of Bandai Spirits’ acclaimed High Grade Iron-Blooded Orphans (HG IBO) range, the Gundam Vidar features excellent articulation, detailed mechanical styling and a versatile selection of weapons, making it an essential addition for IBO fans and Gunpla collectors alike.

A Deadly Gundam Frame

Built upon one of the legendary 72 Gundam Frames, the ASW-G-XX Gundam Vidar is a highly specialised close- and mid-range combat mobile suit. Its lightweight armour, agile frame and advanced combat systems allow it to overwhelm opponents with speed, precision and relentless attacks.

Unlike the more brutal fighting style of Gundam Barbatos, Vidar relies on finesse and calculated strikes, making it one of the most elegant yet dangerous machines in the Iron-Blooded Orphans universe.

Its distinctive blue armour, sharp head design and streamlined silhouette ensure it immediately stands out in any Gunpla display.

Complete Combat Loadout

The HG Gundam Vidar comes equipped with the mobile suit’s signature arsenal, allowing you to recreate many of its memorable battles from the anime.

Included are:

Burst Saber
Rifle
Two Handguns
Interchangeable hand parts

The Burst Saber stores neatly within the side armour when not in use, while the twin handguns can be drawn for dynamic dual-wielding poses. The rifle completes Vidar’s versatile loadout, making it equally effective in close-quarters and ranged combat.

Outstanding Articulation

Built on the highly regarded HG Iron-Blooded Orphans frame system, Gundam Vidar offers exceptional poseability.

The articulated shoulders, elbows, torso, hips and knees allow builders to recreate:

High-speed sword attacks
Dual handgun action poses
Rifle firing stances
Dynamic aerial combat scenes
Signature anime battle poses

The lightweight design and balanced proportions make the model easy to pose while maintaining excellent stability.

Hidden Hunter’s Edge Gimmick

One of Vidar’s unique features is the inclusion of the Hunter’s Edge blades hidden within its feet.

These concealed blades can be deployed to recreate Vidar’s close-combat kicking attacks from the anime, adding another layer of realism and display variety to the finished model.

Combined with the Burst Saber and handguns, the Hunter’s Edge system makes Vidar one of the most versatile close-combat mobile suits in the HG IBO range.

Excellent Colour Separation

Bandai has faithfully recreated Vidar’s striking appearance using colour-separated moulded parts.

The combination of deep blue armour, white plating, dark grey mechanical sections and yellow highlights produces an impressive result straight from the box, while foil stickers complete the finer details.

For experienced builders, the kit is an excellent canvas for:

Panel lining
Metallic detailing
Weathering
Matte or gloss top coats
Water-slide decals
Battle damage effects

The exposed frame details especially benefit from careful painting and subtle weathering.

Perfect for Iron-Blooded Orphans Collections

The HG Gundam Vidar looks fantastic alongside other Iron-Blooded Orphans kits, including:

HG Gundam Barbatos
HG Gundam Kimaris Vidar
HG Graze Commander Type
HG Grimgerde
HG Gundam Bael
HG Gundam Flauros

Together they recreate many of the memorable battles from the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
